By Gillian West Telefónica, the parent company of UK mobile operator O2, has announced the closure of Telefónica Digital as part of a restructuring process which aims to simplify the business. Created in 2011, Telefónica Digital was tasked with developing mobile and digital marketing, tasks which will now be incorporated into the Global Corporate Centre, Telefónica’s central operations unit. Following the closure Telefónica Digital president Matthew Key will be redeployed to Telefónica UK (O2), working alongside CEO Ronan Dunne. Pertaining to be from campaign entitled ‘Expect the Unexpected’ the ad certainly is not what you would expect from the charity which looks after historic houses, gardens, mills, forests, castles, nature reserves and more. The video is over-the-top, unconventional and, dare we say it, downright hilarious. By Angela Haggerty English Heritage has tasked with Bray Leino with growing its membership after the agency won a competitive pitch to become the organisation’s integrated direct marketing agency.
