The survey, conducted by Mumsnet, was revealed at the Mumstock conference in London yesterday. John Lewis came first, followed by Waitrose, Amazon, Apple and M&S. By Ishbel Macleod Moves, the all-day activity diary for smartphones, has been acquired by Facebook, but the app promises that data will not be integrated with Facebook. Announcing the acquisition in a blog post, the company reassured users “the Moves experience will continue to operate as a standalone app, and there are no plans to change that or commingle data with Facebook.” It is not surprising that Moves felt the need to point out the fact regarding data, given that WhatsApp founder Jan Koum had to speak out following worries of the data from the Facebook-acquired company being shared with the social media giant.
