BBC points finger at Jamaica Inn actors over inaudible dialogue

By John Glenday BBC producers have pointed the finger of blame at actors in its Jamaica Inn drama series for failing to properly enunciate their lines, after being deluged with hundreds of complaints from viewers that they were unable to follow spoken dialogue. The BBC’s head of drama made the admission after conceding that audibility problems were not due to ‘issues with sound levels’ as first believed but rather from actors failing to be ‘clear’. Super Bowl online video ad shares fall 29% year on year, research finds

By Natalie Mortimer Advertising during the 2014 Super Bowl saw a 29 per cent drop in the number of shares they received, while shares of branded videos fell by almost 25 per cent last quarter, despite overall sharing rising by 22 per cent over the last 12 months. The research, published today (24 April) by marketing technology company Unruly, also showed that FMCG/CPG and charities/ non-profits were the only sectors to increase their share of voice in the first quarter of 2014. Cancer Research UK confirms creative roster appointments following six month review

London-based SomeOne has been appointed to handle brand for the charity with Conran Design Group, Purpose, Corporate Culture, Live and Breathe, PIN Creative and William Joseph selected as design agencies. A number of design freelancers have also been appointed to the roster including Big Jon, Gene Cooke, Gill Sales, Paula Sayer and Tracey Goodland.
