Selfie-addicted Russian soldier caught in Ukrainian territory by Instagram geo-tagging

By John McCarthy The Instagram account of a Russian solider may have landed under-pressure Vladimir Putin in hot water after the app’s photomap placed 24-year-old Sanya Sotkin’s selfies in rebel-held Ukrainian territory. The selfie-addicted solider’s Instagram may be vital in proving Russia’s involvement in the Ukrainian civil war after images show the active-duty Sotkin operating in the disputed territory. This is despite Moscow denying any involvement in the conflict which saw Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 tragically shot down, killing 298 people on board. Paddy Power admits 2010 cyber-theft breached 650,000 accounts

By John McCarthy Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has admitted personal data from 650,000 accounts registered before 2011 was stolen four years ago during a cyber-attack upon its database. Pre-2011 accounts were breached with data including customers’ names, usernames, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and dates of birth, as well as security questions and answers, stolen. The betting firm confirmed that encrypted financial data such as debit card numbers was safe and added it seized the stolen data from a Canadian individual’s personal computer in May after a tip off. Domino's aims to capture Indian market with spicy banana pizza

A food tester at the pizza company said he based the new Domino’s menu on local cuisine to increase sales in south India, where bananas are often used in cooking.
