EasyJet brands Ryanair a ‘copycat’ as it details 2015 marketing plans

By Thomas Hobbs Earlier this week, the budget airline revealed it had increased the number of passengers carried over the quarter ending 31 December by 4.1% to 14.9 million off the back of its successful “Business Sense” campaign, which talked up EasyJet’s business class proposition. It also lowered loss projections for the first half of 2015 to between £10m to £30m – compared to a previously projected £53m – after selling a “record number of seats” to business travellers during the period. By John McCarthy Ukip is the most talked about UK political party on social media in the run up to the 2015 general election according to We Are Social figures. The social media firm analysed political discourse on Facebook and Twitter during the three-month period running up to January 2015 discovering that Ukip garnered the most online attention. On Twitter, Ukip had a 30 per cent share of conversation, followed by 29 per cent for Labour, a quarter for the Conservatives and 11 per cent for the Scottish National Party (SNP).
