London Beer Lab gets new identity from Elmwood to compete in craft beer market

By Natalie Mortimer Brixton-based craft brewery London Beer Lab has introduced a new identity as it looks to compete in the jostling craft beer market. The company worked with Elmwood and briefed the agency to create a label identity that could support London Beer Lab’s expansion plan to sell the product in local craft beer shops and public houses rather than exclusively in the brewery. The design also needed to reflect the founders’ history of sharing recipes as an open source brewery, and making the craft beer world more accessible. 'Distressing' Crimestoppers OOH ad banned for showing disembodied heart

By Rebecca Stewart A hard-hitting OOH campaign by Crimestoppers has been banned by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) for being likely to cause “unjustifiable distress”. The poster, which featured a human heart grasped in bloodied hands with drips of blood running down the fingers stated ‘BREAK YOUR SILENCE. Don’t let drugs and violence rip the heart out of your community’. It contained the Crimestoppers phone number and called on viewers to speak out against those committing violent crimes. Apple's dominance begins to waver as quarterly report shows underwhelming iPhone sales

By Tony Connelly Apple’s dominance in the mobile market is beginning to look fragile after the company’s fiscal first quarter earnings revealed underwhelming iPhone sales. The Silicon Valley giant admitted that sales of its iPhones had missed expectations after it sold 74.8 million iPhones in the quarter, falling short of the 75.46 million target. Apple chief executive, Tim Cook, said on the company’s earnings call that he expects iPhone sales to decline in the next quarter which would be the first decline in iPhone sales since its 2007 launch.
