Nylon appoints Pitchfork’s Molly Butterfoss as creative director

By Minda Smiley Fashion and pop culture publisher Nylon has named Molly Butterfoss as creative director. In this role, she will lead design for Nylon’s print magazine and will “oversee visual continuity across Nylon’s digital, e-commerce and social platforms.” Previously, she served as senior art director at music site Pitchfork. Butterfoss begins her new role immediately and will report to Melissa Giannini, Nylon’s editor-in-chief. Facebook is going VR, with over 1m 360 degree videos consumed everyday

The news comes several months after former PR chief Gabriel Stricker left the company, and a slew of other high profile departures.
