By John Glenday Former Google search chief Amit Singhal has been forced to quit Uber just one month after arriving at the ride-hailing app amidst accusations that he failed to disclose a sexual harassment allegation made during his time at the search giant. Singhal was named as Uber’s SVP of engineering just last month but has been boomeranged back out after chief executive Travis Kalanick discovered that he had failed to disclose an allegation of sexual harassment made during his stint at Google. Musician Lorde takes a back seat for new album launch

By John Glenday New Zealand born singer-songwriter Lorde has taken a back seat for a teaser trailer hinting at the looming release of some new music on 2 March, by enigmatically snacking and supping a milkshake. How GrabBike is using adtech to change social perception around driving careers

By Charlotte McEleny GrabBike, the two-wheeled business of taxi app and ride sharing giant Grab, has managed to rev up the effectiveness of a recruitment campaign that aims to change social perceptions around rider jobs using adtech. According to GrabBike, in Vietnam the demand for its service in key cities like Hanoi is scaling faster than it can recruit drivers. A key issue is that being a bike driver (or xe om) is seen as a “face-losing job”.
