Adobe Systems reportedly in talks to acquire Marketo

By Taruka Srivastav Adobe Systems is in talks to acquire cloud-based marketing software company, Marketo to combat Microsoft and Oracle according to reports. According to VentureBeat, the acquisition of Marketo, which offers business-to-business marketing applications, would complement Adobe’s marketing business. Marketo was acquired by private equity firm Vista Equity Partners Management for $1.8bn two years ago. Adobe is expected to pay more than that to acquire Marketo should th new deal progress.
