ActionAid India warns parents about spotting the signs of child abuse

The campaign, which is called #JoinTheDots and created by Dentsu-owned WATConsult, makes use of a film to showcase a mother’s strong bond with her son, threaded together by their intimate and candid moments. The number of harmful ads that kids are exposed to has declined, says ASA

By Imogen Watson Childrens’ exposure to TV ads for alcohol, gambling and junk food has declined in recent years, according to a new report from the Advertising Standards Association (ASA). Strict rules are already in place to restrict children’s exposure to TV ads for food and soft drink products high in fat, salt or sugar (HFSS) as well as gambling and alcohol, though brands continue to fall foul of the stringent regulations.
