The limited-edition sneakers have Heineken Silver beer in the sole, added using a specialized surgical injection. Created with the help of Le Pub and BBH, each pair features a sleek green lenticular upper with silver and red accents. From canceled campaigns to late payments: influencers feel the hit as brands rethink spend

By Hannah Bowler As advertisers reconsider their marketing spend in the face of ever-worsening economic conditions, influencers have told The Drum brands are canceling campaigns, reducing fees and brokering gifting-only deals. The Drum commissioned HypeAuditor to survey influencers in the UK and US to find out how the economic downturn had affected their businesses. Just under half of all 141 influencers to respond have experienced payment problems since the economy started to dip in March 2021. Looking deeper, 33 influencers were asked by brands to lower fees, 18 have had payments delayed and 16 had brands cancel campaigns altogether. Hakuhodo expands Malaysian presence with Kingdom deal

By Sam Bradley Japanese network Hakuhodo has acquired Kingdom Digital, a Malaysian creative agency based in Kuala Lumpur. The takeover, for an undisclosed fee, will boost Hakohodu’s creative offering in Malaysia and the wider Asia Pacific region. Shuntaro Ito, Hakuhodo International’s president and chief executive officer, said of the move: ”Kingdom Digital will be able to contribute to our clients’ growth by providing them with sophisticated digital solutions in a Malaysian digital marketplace that will only continue to develop in the future.” Malaysia was the first country outside of Japan that Hakuhodo expanded into, back in the early 1970s.
