Manchester United is to directly engage with its many supporters in China with the launch of an official presence on the WeChat social messaging service, the largest Chinese language platform of its type.
The new feed will enable the club to share news, videos and imagery direct to the smartphones of its fans which can then be shared amongst friends.
Manchester United’s group managing director Richard Arnold said: “Manchester United is always striving to find new ways to engage with our fans around the world and the launch on WeChat in China is another exciting development in our social media offering.
