EE posts 1.7m 4G user surge in Q1 as revenue slightly slips

EE has widened the gap as Europe’s largest 4G operator, revealing that it added a total of 1.7 million 4G customers in the UK in the first quarter of 2015.

The company reported a 224 per cent year-on-year increase of 4G customers, now boasting 9.3million in the UK. Furthermore, the brand now has 7,700 medium and large companies using its 4G including Uber, Gant UK, Rotary Watches, Norfolk Constabulary and Suffolk Constabulary.

However, despite impressive growth, operating revenue – including regulatory impacts – was down by 1.1 per cent year on year to £1.469bn.
