Tumblr founder and chief executive David Karp took to the stage at Yahoo’s NewFront event for the first time ever yesterday (27 April).
During his presentation he discussed Tumblr’s Sponsored Video product and the site’s Creatrs Network – a group of talented bloggers recruited by brands to help with campaigns.
Yahoo bought Tumblr for over $1bn in 2014, at the time chief executive Marissa Mayer said that she wanted the two companies to “work together to create advertising opportunities that are seamless and enhance user experience”.
