Google has patented a hi-tech soft toy resembling a traditional teddy bear in appearance but which does in fact conceal an array of electronic recording, listening and motion devices.
The furry gadget, also available in rabbit guise, is being built to serve as an automated child minder, keeping an eye on the kids with cameras built-into its eye sockets and listening for trouble via twin microphones secreted behind its ears.
