Facebook emulates blogging platforms with Notes updates

Facebook has made it easier for users to share to Notes on the social network with an update to the long-forgotten feature.

With the update, Facebook becomes more of a blogging platform with users capable of adding specialised cover photos to their texts.

The major overhaul of the Notes feature also enables writers to caption and resize photos and format text into headers, quotes or bullets.

Isaac Salier-Hellendag, user interface engineer, said: “Facebook has always been a place to share your thoughts with friends, and notes are a meaningful way for people to do that.”

The feature is available on web and desktop.
