BBC London 94.9 has announced its intention to rebrand as BBC Radio London, marking a return of the station’s retro name.
The rebrand will switchover 6 October, to coincide with the original launch of the brand in 1970. A commemorative day of broadcasts, looking back on the station’s heritage will take place in the BT Tower which also celebrates its 50th anniversary that the same week.
