Russian authorities are investigating Apple for “promoting homosexuality” with its series of same-sex couple emojis.
Following chief executive Tim Cook announcing he is “proud to be gay,” in October, the company has come under close scrutiny in Russia.
Previously Apple landed in hot water for the cover of its U2 gift album ‘Songs of Innocence’ due to an image of band member Larry Mullen hugging his topless son Elvis being misconstrued as gay propaganda.
