VisitScotland has begun its search for a new chairman to head the organisation’s billion pound tourism industry around the world.
The new chair will be tasked with driving the strategic direction of Scotland’s tourism industry which generated more than £12bn last year alone.
The role will also involve collaborating with key stakeholders and providing advice and guidance to Scottish ministers who will ultimately decide on issues regarding the tourism industry.
In the ad for the position, the Scottish Government says the role will require “leadership skills, networking, corporate governance and communication, along with an understanding of the tourism sector”.
