A BBC children’s animation depicting a toast soldier decapitating a cowering boiled egg with a butter knife has sparked outrage in the pages of the Daily Mail and The Sun after one mother likened the clip to an ‘ISIS-style’ execution.
Angela Halliwell has complained to Ofcom about the short alleging that the breakfast table battle amounts to ‘extreme violence’ and could normalise the act of beheading.
