New Dixons Carphone CMO Gary Booker promises ‘disruptive’ advertising as he questions success of ‘the weepie approach’

Booker was previously joint CMO for Dixons Carphone along with Julien Diment. Booker oversaw marketing at Dixon Retail’s brands such as Currys and PC World, while Diment had responsibility for Carphone Warehouse.

However, Booker now oversees the entire group’s marketing function after the two divisions were recently merged. Diment, meanwhile, is now working in the firm’s connected services division, working on the rollout of its US store partnership with Sprint.
