Mitsubishi Motors is the latest auto maker to be scandalized following the falsification of its car specs, admitting that it has cheated fuel consumption tests since 1991.
Following the VW emissions rigging that rocked the industry in 2015 sparking large fins globally and resulting in a reshuffle of the its upper echelons, the Japanese brand is the latest to come under scrutiny.
During a press conference on Tuesday, Tetsuro Aikawa, company president, announced the anomaly, launching an inquiry and suggesting further falsehoods.
