Universal Music snaps up digital marketing shop Fame House in $1m deal

Universal Music has made more inroads into the advertising world, with the purchase of digital music marketing outfit Fame House.

While the $1m cash deal will see Universal Music Group take on around $400,000 in debts and liabilities, it’s not yet known whether the consultancy will retain its independence or be absorbed into Universal’s greater operations.

The Philadelphia-based firm was sold to Universal by SFX Entertainment, which filed for bankruptcy in February.
