Japanese video game company Nintendo has officially lifted the lid on its virtual reality ambitions during its first fiscal meeting this year.
At first the reports surfaced from a Japanese Twitter user who was sitting in on the board meeting, as translated by another Twitter user called ‘Cheesemeister’, according to Kotaku.
Shigeru Miyamoto, top Nintendo developer, reportedly said: “We’re also researching VR, so we have the core technology. Long play sessions are an issue. We want to release something that can be played for long periods, carries value, and is affordable. We want parents to feel at ease.”
