Facebook has overseen the launch of over 11,000 bots on its Messenger platform since it launched the feature three months ago.
The chatbots for Messenger feature allows developers to build bots, and Facebook claims around 23,000 developers have signed up to Facebook’s Wit.ai to build them.
Messaging products vice president David Marcus, said: “We’re excited to introduce bots for the Messenger Platform. Bots can provide anything from automated subscription content like weather and traffic updates, to customized communications like receipts, shipping notifications, and live automated messages all by interacting directly with the people who want to get them.”
