Airbnb has followed in Google’s footsteps to become the latest technology firm to voice criticism of a 90-day travel ban imposed by the Trump administration in the US.
Beyond moral and financial support the accommodation provider will offer free housing to any refugee or citizen who is barred from entering the country, sparking nationwide protests and international condemnation.
Tweeting his rationale behind the offer CEO Brian Chesky said: “Not allowing countries or refugees into America is not right, and we must stand with those who are affected.
