Facebook has continued its spending spree by splashing out $2bn on the acquisition of Oculus, a VR platform which has been making waves with its Oculus Rift headset.
The move is set to shift the gaming-centric nature of the device toward that of a multimedia hub – with support for communications, media, entertainment (and of course Facebook) all built in.
