Johnston Press chief executive Ashley Highfield will chair this year’s Online Media Awards, which will see publishers and broadcasters such as BuzzFeed News and ITV compete to be rewarded for their endeavors over the last 12 months.

The awards, now in its seventh year, include nominations from all corners of the media industry, with editors all the way through to photographers hailed for their achievements during a momentous 2016.
