Samsung has announced it has acquired South Korean artificial intelligence Fluenty to use the startup’s machine learning-based chatbot to upgrade its AI assistant Bixby.
According to The Korean Herald, Samsung will buy over the firm’s engineers, technologies and assets, which counts researchers from top technology firms like Kakao and LG Electronic as its founders.
Bixby made its long-awaited launch in the United States earlier this year, before Samsung rolled it out to its customers in India during the launch of its Galaxy 8 phone.
