Lyft has jettisoned the role of chief marketing officer following the departure of incumbent Joy Howard, who has left the business after eight months in the job.
Howard, who was previously the chief marketing officer of Sonos, has left for a job promoting digital rights, according to a company statement.
Lyft has since split the chief marketing officer job between two roles: a vice-president of marketing operations and a vice-president of brand. Both will report directly into co-founder and president John Zimmer, who company sources say is taking an active role in shaping the brand.
