British music journalism publication New Musical Express (NME) has increased its presence in Asia Pacific after launching into South East Asia.
The launch into Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines comes a year after NME launched in Australia in 2019. The website is owned by Bandlab Technologies in APAC.
NME’s Asia headquarters will be in Singapore, with the regional editorial team led by Iliyas Ong, former editor of Time Out Singapore, alongside Karen Gwee, former editor of Bandwagon and writer at NPR. The editorial team in Singapore will manage journalists across Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.
