Japanese researchers devise emotionless zombie specs

Researchers in Japan have jumped upon the hi-tech glasses bandwagon sparked by Google by concocting their own take on the specs of the future.

The device incorporates special OLED lenses which display a creepy flickering pair of zombie eyes over the wearer’s true visage, allowing the owner to mask their true feelings from others.

Developed by Prof Hirotaka Osawa the device has the express intent of creating an ‘emotional cyborg’ and is touted as being suitable for use by nurses, waiters, teachers and therapists who work in people-centric environments.
