UKIP's £1.5m European election campaign criticised as leader Nigel Farage claims 'political earthquake' on its way

A UK Independence Party (UKIP) campaign claiming that Europeans are out to take employment away from those living in the UK ahead of the European Parliament elections next month, has been defended by the party’s leader, Nigel Farage.

The £1.5m campaign, which is set to run as 48-sheets, press and online advertisements, includes one ad that claims three quarters of laws in the UK are decided by the parliament in Brussels.

It has been funded by Yorkshire businessman, Paul Sykes, the party has revealed.
