Tesco Mobile appoints Fanclub PR to help promote its ‘no frills’ offering

Tesco Mobile has appointed Fanclub PR, following a three way pitch.

As Tesco Mobile’s retained agency, Fanclub PR will work with the mobile brand’s incumbent social media agency Jam, media planning agency Initiative and above-the-line agency Wieden + Kennedy.

A spokesperson at Tesco Mobile said: “Historically, perceptions about Tesco Mobile have focused on a value, no-frills offering.

“The team at Fanclub demonstrated in their pitch that they understand what motivates our target audiences, and have the creative energy and understanding to take our brand forward to its next level.”

Last year, Tesco Mobile shifted its brand strategy to target a younger audience.
