Amazon officially enters Southeast Asia, launches Prime Now in Singapore

Amazon officially announced its arrival in Singapore and the Southeast Asia region on Thursday by launching Prime Now, which offers free two-hour delivery orders of S$40 or more.

After months of speculation of the ecommerce giant’s plans to launch in SEA, the rumors intensified on Wednesday when sponsored posts appeared on prominent Singapore influencers’ Instagram page.

Customers can order a wide-range of items from eggs to cold beer, as well as local favorites like Tiger Balm, Milo, Scotch-Brite and MamyPoko diapers.
