Apple has issued a statement defending the sturdiness of its new iPhone 6 Plus smartphone after reports appeared in the media of the devices bending in users’ pockets.
Responding to the #Bendgate frenzy, which saw both brands and general social media users create ads to mock Apple, the Californian firm claimed that it would be “rare” for the mobiles to bend under everyday use.
The company said it has only received nine complaints of products bending by customers and added that it will be willing to replace devices on a case-by-case basis.
