BT Sport has grown its European coverage by securing the rights to Fifa World Cup champion Germany’s home friendly matches in addition to the Deutscher Fußball-Bund – the German equivalent of the FA Cup.
The channel will broadcast German friendly games, excluding those against UK nations, but will first feature a World Cup Final rematch with the champions playing Argentina on 3 September.
Additionally, Germany’s DFB Cup will see sides from the Bundesliga’s top two tiers try to pick up the silverware which last season saw Bayern Munich win with a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in extra time.
