A protest opposing the closure of the Calais migrant camp blocked access to a Business France event on Tuesday (23 February).

The private gentleman’s club was surrounded and picketed by protestors looking to show solidarity with the displaced people currently located in France’s migrant jungle – as France makes moves to reportedly demolish the village.

The protestors attempted to blockade French ambassador Sylvie Bermann from entering the premises, interrupting the launch of Creative France, Business France’s new campaign encouraging creative works.

Attempts to cease the event failed however with Bermann attending the event regardless.
