Discover Financial Services has promoted Julie Loeger to senior vice president and chief marketing officer for its US Cards Business.

She replaces Harit Talwar, who is leaving the company. In January, it was announced that he will be joining the board of directors at Trustmark.

Previously, Loeger served as senior vice president of brand and new cardmember acquisition at Discover, where she has worked for the past 24 years. Before joining Discover, she held a number of marketing positions at Anheuser Busch.
