US electric car manufacturer Tesla has unveiled a green battery range which stores solar energy in a move which could supplement under-pressure power grids during periods of high demand.
Tesla’s new back-up system could bolster energy infrastructure, the company has announced, as it explores new possibilities beyond the auto industry.
The ‘Tesla Energy’ line is “a suite of batteries for homes, businesses, and utilities fostering a clean energy ecosystem and helping wean the world off fossil fuels,” Musk announced.
