Facebook dementia app aims to raise awareness
Alzheimer’s Research UK has launched a Facebook app which ‘takes over’ your Facebook page and temporarily erases important memories mimicking how dementia affects the brain.
Now, I’m all for supporting charities, but I think this app could’ve been more effective in terms of the idea that they’re trying to execute by having your actual Facebook page come up, and then making things disappear from there.
When you consider how popular the #nomakeupselfie was, it will be interesting if any other charities try to emulate that success.
You can have a go at the app here.
