Tony Gallagher, previously newspaper editor at the Daily Telegraph, has been named as joint deputy editor at the Daily Mail.
Gallagher will share the role with current deputy editor John Steafel. The news was revealed by Daily Mail editor Paul Dacre in a message that said: “I’m delighted to announce that Tony Gallagher is returning to the Daily Mail as joint deputy editor.”
