Search giant Google has released footage of its Amazon mapping expedition with viewers capable of following the journey on Google Maps Street View.

A new Street View microsite now offers viewers to opportunity to follow Google on its journey through the Amazon as it maps vital landmarks and communities in South America’s vast Amazon rainforest.

A highlight of the firm’s mapping venture was a Google Street View journey through a tree canopy via zip wire. The 360 degree shot trip was captured at speeds of 62mph.
