The world’s biggest retailer recently got a visit from the world’s most prominent promoter of environmental issues. Vice President Al Gore visited Amazon headquarters in Seattle to talk about the company’s push towards more sustainable practices.
Gore spoke to 1,600 Amazon employees at the company’s new corporate headquarters meeting center, across from the new biospheres the company is building in downtown Seattle, according to a story on Geekwire. He talked alongside Amazon’s director of worldwide sustainability, Kara Hurst, addressing subjects like climate change, demographic changes and the role people can play in addressing positive changes.
