Rupert Murdoch’s media giant Newscorp has swept in to buy Wireless Group which owns popular stations TalkSport and Virgin Radio.
Pitching in £220.3m ($290.3m), the company said: “Wireless represents an excellent strategic fit with its existing operations, broadening News Corp’s range of services in the UK, Ireland and internationally.”
