Reince Priebus, the White House chief of staff, was pushed out yesterday after a stormy six-month tenure the day after a public savaging from Anthony Scaramucci, the new communications director.
President Trump has replaced him with John F. Kelly, the secretary of homeland security and retired four-star Marine general.
Trump tweeted the change while sitting aboard Air Force One on a tarmac outside Washington minutes after returning from Long Island.
