Broadcaster Sky has announced that 2019 will be the final year in which it associates itself with cycling after deciding to seek a new owner and backer for Team Sky as it prioritises its fight against ocean plastic.
Since first becoming involved with the sport in 2008, in association with British Cycling, Sky claims to have inspired nearly 2 million people to regularly get on their bikes as well as achieving medal success during three Olympic Games.
