The ways that brands use Twitter successfully can be categorised into four areas – live events, everyday moments, campaigns and reactive content, according to Tariq Slim, telco and tech lead for key accounts for Twitter.
Speaking at SMW London, Slim suggested that Twitter as a medium could present a challenge to advertisers because they did not know how to plan for a real-time platform.
“If brands think about four types of content they can cover it all,” he said.
