Viral publisher Unilad has fought off stiff competition from the Daily Mail and rival Lad Bible to claim the world’s most engaged Facebook page and online video channel for 2016.
According to data from cross-platform monitoring system Tubular Labs, the media owner received close to one billion Facebook likes, comments and shares across its Facebook content, coming ahead of big names like 9GAG and footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
Over the past 12 months, the independent media company has also clocked up over 25bn video views across YouTube, Facebook, Vine and Instagram.
