BSKYB CEO Jeremy Darroch has admitted that closing Sky Songs, the music-streaming service similar to Spotify, was one of his biggest mistakes and that the media giant “got out of it too early”.
Speaking at Advertising Week Europe today (1 April), Darroch said that while he has made “too many mistakes to mention” the closure of Sky Songs in 2010 just a year after it launched stood out.
